Good Morning

Good Morning... I have been up since 5 am, dehydrating. I just got through dehydrating mushrooms, now onto strawberries, than lemons.

The holidays are fast approaching so I started cleaning my living room and rearranging for the tree.

I just drug in my other end table and put in front of my china cabinet, I'm looking to find two wing back chairs or matching chairs that I can recover in shabby chic to sit in front with the end table.

Today i'm going to finish painting the end table and remove the wire in the doors of my china cabinet and add some lace instead of the wire and glass and finish painting it... White of coarse. That should keep me busy for today. Smile another day in my life :o)

 

 

Faux Fireplace Redo

Hello,

Today I made a new Victorian look fireplace, well I added to my faux fireplace with bits and pieces of things from around the house to make it sorta look like a Victorian.

I had my son hoist my sofa table on the top of the mantel, I added a mirror from my Bunny Tales Cottage shed, put another little shelf that was laying around collecting dust bunnies on the very top. I than added decor, a Victorian piece on the front of the fireplace and an iron chippy shabby chic piece that was originally a candle holder I bought at a yard sale for a buck. I took it apart and added it to the front of the sofa table.

I painted everything white, except the iron chippy shabby chic piece. I want it to stay shabby.

I'm going to add some lace across the front of the sofa table, just underneath about 4" wide, the length of the table, where the iron chippy piece is.

Now I can't decide if I want to add wood legs on the front of the faux fireplace and another thin shelf on top of them. I thought it might be cute with tea cups sitting on it. Still deciding. That's about it. Smile another day in my life. :o)

Dinner at Jesika's

Today I was invited to my daughter Jesika's new apartment for family dinner. Justin, Amaya , Justin Jr, Tim, Trista, Hailey,Tanner and I were all there along with Amy and her beautiful new baby. Jack was unable to attend. We brought our new puppies, Loli and Charlie Lila Rose for a puppies play date with Roxie my daughter's puppy. It was a houseful. Jesika made my yummy chicken Enchilada's  beans, and rice. They were awesome. She can cook like her mama...I taught her well. Her apartment is very cute, I'm very proud of her. It was a fun evening watching the kids and puppies play with each other. Charlie Lila Rose tried to eat my daughter's big toe, first she did the sneaky army crawl to get to it and when she missed she did the roll over and scored...lol  She already has some moves that one...lol  Roxi was so excited to play with other puppies, she was all over the place. Loli was so pooped out she crawled behind a stool for some ZzZzZzZZzZ...lol It was a nice visit with family, I had a wonderful time. Made me smile, another day in my life. :o)

Smile another day in my life

Today was a great day. I accomplished cleaning out my desk and a few other tasks I needed to do.
